Booking policy
Full Pre-Payment is required to secure a room reservation. A confirmed booking is a legal agreement between the customer and Mingary Castle.
We operate a two-night minimum stay.
We kindly ask that you inform us of all allergy or dietary requirements when making a booking or at least 48 hours in advance to allow us enough time to prepare a menu for you. Due to our remote location and small team, notice of any requirements is essential to avoid disappointment.
Check in and Check Out
Check in is from 3pm – 10.30pm
Check out is 10.30am
We may be able to offer an earlier check in, but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Should you wish to arrive early please contact the Hotel on 01972509242 to check availability for an early check in.
The minimum check in age is 18 years old and we may ask for photographic ID for verification.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served 7.30am – 9.30am
Children
Children up to and including 2 years old stay free of charge when using an available cot.
Children from 3 years old to and including 16 years old stay for £40.00 per person per night when using an available extra bed.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome at Mingary Castle. In consideration of other hotel guests who may have allergies or do not like dogs, we kindly ask that dogs refrain from entering the dining room. Dogs should not be left unattended in the bedrooms, and if they bark or cause a disturbance to other guests, we may ask you leave your dog in the car or cage where appropriate. Any damage caused by direct result of dogs in the bedroom will be charged for accordingly.
Smoking
Mingary Castle has a NO SMOKING policy in accordance with the Smoking, Health and Social Care (Scotland) Act 2005. Damage caused or cleaning required because of smoking in the bedrooms will be charged for. Rooms which cannot be let due to damage or cleaning because of smoking, will be charged for to cover for additional cleaning and loss of revenue. Guests may smoke outside where a cigarette extinguisher is provided for guest’s convenience.
Weddings and Exclusive Use
When reserving Mingary Castle for a wedding or exclusive use event, a non -refundable deposit of 30% of the total value of the booking will be required to confirm the booking. Full payment is due 3 weeks prior to the event. All additional extras can be paid at check out on departure.
Cancellation Policy
We operate a 28-day Cancellation Policy. In the event of a cancellation out with the 28 days the pre-payment will be refunded less an administration fee of £25 per booking. In the event of a cancellation within the 28 days the pre-payment will not be refunded unless the room is re-let to another guest. If the room is re-let the pre-payment will be refunded less an administration fee of £25 per booking.
Covid-19 Cancellations
Due to the current pandemic any booking Cancelled due to Covid-19 related reasons, can be re-scheduled to another date in the future subject to availability.
